this is simple and portable and perfect for smaller scale projects… butI’m not so sure about the little stand. use a pie tin or cookie sheet (i stick mine to a magnetic bowl). I have the fancy solder station but for quick kitchen table fixes or the student on the go, nothing beats old fashion plug in the wall and solder it…
