   a tilt switch?… i remember a glass bubble with mercury inside, when tilted the glob of mercury conducted across two rods making a switch contact. environmental concerns led to a government ban on mercury, this replacement version uses a roller bearing and gravity to achieve the switching action. using a bracket such as a P-shaped plastic cable clamp, i can mount this tilt-switch and even adjust the tilt angle or threshold…commonly used for anti-theift or alarm devices, this item has many creative uses such as in robotics…
